At Double Line, we believe trust is foundational to modern accounting software. Our customers entrust us with highly sensitive financial information, and we are committed to using artificial intelligence responsibly, transparently, and securely.

This policy explains how we use AI, how we protect your data, and the commitments we make regarding your information.

Our Commitment

Your data belongs to you.

Double Line processes your data only to provide the services you request. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your data to train public or shared artificial intelligence models.

Our goal is simple: use AI to automate accounting work while protecting the confidentiality of your information.

How We Use AI

Double Line uses enterprise-grade artificial intelligence to assist with accounting and financial workflows, including:

  • Processing financial documents
  • Extracting and structuring accounting data
  • Reconciling financial information
  • Preparing financial statements and workpapers
  • Identifying potential discrepancies and exceptions
  • Supporting other authorized accounting workflows

AI is used only to perform services requested by our customers.

We Do Not Train on Customer Data

Double Line does not use Customer Data or User Data to:

  • Train public artificial intelligence models
  • Train shared machine learning models
  • Train foundation models made available to other customers
  • Permit third parties to train their AI models using your data

Likewise, we require our AI service providers to process your data solely for the purpose of delivering the services we request on your behalf and not for their own model training or unrelated purposes, consistent with our contractual agreements.

How We Improve Double Line

We continuously improve the quality, reliability, security, and functionality of the Service.

To support these improvements, we may use information that has been aggregated and de-identified so that it cannot reasonably identify:

  • You
  • Your organization
  • Your clients
  • Any individual

This information may be used to:

  • Improve product performance
  • Evaluate AI accuracy
  • Enhance security
  • Detect software defects
  • Improve reliability
  • Develop new features
  • Perform operational analytics

Before information is used for these purposes, we take reasonable measures to remove or obscure identifiers so that it cannot reasonably be linked back to any customer or individual.

Our AI Providers

Double Line utilizes enterprise-grade AI providers to deliver certain features of the Service. Before engaging an AI provider, we evaluate:

  • Security practices
  • Confidentiality commitments
  • Data handling procedures
  • Access controls
  • Contractual protections

Where Customer Data is processed by an AI provider, it is processed solely to perform the requested service and under contractual obligations designed to protect the confidentiality and security of your information.

Security and Privacy

Our AI systems operate within the same security framework that protects the rest of the Double Line platform.

Our safeguards include:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Role-based access controls
  • Multi-factor authentication
  • Least-privilege access
  • Security monitoring and logging
  • Regular security reviews
  • Vendor security assessments

Your Data, Your Control

You retain ownership of your data.

Double Line processes your information only to provide the Service and as otherwise described in our agreements and Privacy Policy.

Subject to applicable law and our retention policies, you may request to:

  • Export your data
  • Delete your data
  • Close your account

Transparency

As our platform evolves, we remain committed to transparency regarding our use of artificial intelligence.

If our AI practices materially change, we will update this policy and communicate those changes as appropriate.
